Kevin Butler saves people, money... and ultimately saves the world.

Kevin Butler, Sony's super vice president of epic titles, is back and has teamed up with BestBuy to save you money... and deliver babies?

Sony's latest holiday ad brings us the next in a long line of Butler's escapades, this time to inform you of their partnership with BestBuy to bring you their newest HDTV/PS3 bundle lineup. The promotional details can be seen here, with my personal favorite being the 46'' 3D ready HDTV, 160gb PS3, Gran Turismo 5 and "Grown Ups" on Blu-ray all for only $1699. That's a savings of almost $1200. It is not too long ago that a regular HDTV of that size alone would set you back 170,000 pennies (34,000 nickles for those of you against the copper currency). If Sony keeps pushing deals like this throughout the year we might just see 3D capable sets reach the market share desired by it's proponents.

The real news here isn't the amazing deals, though. The real news of today is that the partnership with BestBuy allowed Butler to team up with BestBuy employee Nick DeVita to... well, I won't spoil it for you. Just watch the video below.

Not bad for the Boombassador of Deals.

  1. Kevin Butler is a hero and a god amongst mere mortals. I'd love to see an editorial put together that analyzes the awesomeness that is Kevin Butler...
