The Monster Hunter army grows by 2 million

Capcom's latest entry in it's monstrous hunting sim appears to be a big hit in the land of the rising sun. Released just last week, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd launched to huge lines and large sales numbers. Capcom is reporting that it has shipped 2 million units to retailers in Japan. While this number is impressive for first week sales, the lines at some Japanese shops were equally impressive, with Andriasang reporting lines of up to 3,000 people eagerly awaiting to get their hunt on.

Capcom has stated that it plans to reach 3.6 million units sold and, while a lofty goal, Capcom is already halfway there.
